About Us
The Friends of Bee Cave Public Library was founded in 2006 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation to help support Bee Cave Public Library, which had opened in late 2005 in a portable building next to what is now the Bee Cave Police Department. In 2007, the Library moved into its current location on the ground floor of City Hall in the heart of the Hill Country Galleria where it has grown and thrived. Plans are underway for a new library building to be designed by Lake Flato Architects. The Bee Cave City Council voted to place two items on the ballot for the November 2025 election. Proposition A will ask voters whether to approve building a new library on the city-owned Skaggs tract on Bee Cave Parkway across from the Ladera neighborhood. Proposition B will ask voters whether to approve a bond for $19.98M to fund the construction of the new library. Find more information on the library website as renderings become available.
